January 2026 Class Calendar
A new year has arrived, and I feel something opening in this moment. A threshold. A quiet invitation to commit to look inward with honesty, to orient to my internal knowing first and foremost. Not to reinvent myself, polish any edges, or seek approval, but to listen within before I act, to prize my commitment to myself first and foremost, to honor the knowing I hold deep.
2025 showed me how powerful I am and how vital listening to myself truly is. I want 2026 to be the year I run free within that deep knowing.
Chasing approval or security or comfort anywhere outside of what I value within myself is not only pointless, but dangerous. Those old systems and strategies I used to rely on have failed.
So, I’m shifting to the truth I feel in my body: the opening when something is right, the tightening when it isn’t. I want to trust those signals again. I want to know who I am inside the realities of race, identity, body expectations, and inherited narratives, not to contort myself around them, but to understand what integrity actually feels like in my body.
2026, the Year of the Horse brings movement, chaos, growth born from shedding what no longer works. As I think about what it means to run free, I realize I am the only one that could possibly know what that looks like for me. Not outside of community, and not outside of systems that affect me, but from a deeper knowing inside myself. And collectively, I feel we’re shedding the myth that silence or inaction is harmless. We’re being called to show up awake, connected, responsive.
Here is a tool that helps me calibrate towards what I know to be true:
Your Body is your Compass: A Practice for Remembering Yourself
Sit or lie somewhere comfortable.
Place one hand on your belly and one on your heart.
Take a slow inhale and let your belly rise into your hand.
Exhale and feel your body settle into support.
Remember a time that felt challenging, icky, hard. Take a breath. What do you notice in your body? Is there a tightening? Panic? Do you want to avoid the discomfort?
Note these sensations. That’s your zero.
Now, think of time where you felt alive, joyous, happy. Take a breath. What is the sensation in your body? Is there a lightness? Where does the euphoria bubble?
Note these sensations. That’s your ten.
What if you allowed yourself to orient to your 10 this year? What if your body was a honing device guiding you towards what brings you the most alive? What would your life look like? - These are the questions I’m asking this year and I cannot wait to share what I find. 💜
We’ve got yoga, meditations and affirmations to support you too! Enjoy the journey, chase what lights you up - we’ve got this!
With deep joy,
Mary
