October Class Calendar 2026
We. Love. Spooky. Season. 👻
The nights are getting longer. The veil is getting thinner. Everything is a little darker, a little weirder, and—if we let it be—a lot more fun. There’s so much to explore.
Last month, we practiced self-study. We observed ourselves. We listened closely. We asked honest questions about who we are, what we’ve learned, and what we’re carrying.
And here’s the thing about paying attention to yourself: Eventually, you’re going to notice some shit.
You’ll find the parts of yourself you’ve kept polished and ready for company. But you might also find the parts you’ve hidden in the basement. The fear. The jealousy. The anger. The need. The desire. The tender little weirdo who wants much more than you’ve allowed yourself to admit.
Boo! There you are.
What’s Hiding in the Shadows?
Our shadows are often made up of the parts of ourselves we decided were too much, too messy, too needy, too loud, too angry, too strange, or too difficult to love.
So we pushed them away. We learned how to hide them. We dressed them up as something more acceptable and hoped they would stay quiet.
But the parts of you that you’ve rejected don’t disappear. They wait.
Not because they want to haunt you, but because they want to come home.
Shadow work is an invitation to turn toward those parts with curiosity. To ask what they’ve been protecting. To listen to what they need. To remember that even the parts of you that make you uncomfortable belong to you.
There can be intensity in the shadows. But there can also be freedom, care, tenderness, and relief.
Because what if you didn’t have to keep running from yourself?
This Does Not Have to Be a Horror Movie
We can make self-discovery so serious.
Every realization becomes a crisis. Every uncomfortable feeling becomes a problem to solve. Every shadow needs an exorcism, a five-step healing plan, and a dramatic soundtrack.
But what if your shadows don’t need to be defeated?
What if they want to play?
What if you could meet your fear with curiosity? Your anger with compassion? Your desire with delight? What if you could laugh with the parts of yourself that once embarrassed you? What if you could let the strange, messy, magnificent truth of who you are come out and dance?
Acceptance doesn’t always have to arrive through struggle. Healing doesn’t have to be heavy to be real.
Sometimes freedom sounds like telling yourself the truth and realizing the truth is not nearly as terrifying as hiding from it.
Sometimes it feels like letting yourself be complicated without turning your complexity into a problem.
Sometimes it’s looking at the monster under the bed and saying, “Oh, babe. You live here too.”
A Class a Day, Chosen for You
This month, we’ve chosen a class for every day of October to help you explore your strength, your softness, your fear, your pleasure, your power, and everything waiting in the dark.
This is not a challenge to complete perfectly. It’s an invitation to keep meeting yourself.
Come to the mat when you can. Move. Breathe. Tell yourself the truth. Make a little room for whatever shows up.
You might discover that the parts of yourself you’ve feared are also the parts carrying your creativity, your boundaries, your joy, your instinct, and your power.
You might find that the shadow isn’t here to swallow the light.
It’s here to help you see the whole picture.
This October, let’s stop asking parts of ourselves to disappear before we offer them love.
Let’s make care the first response.
Let’s leave a little candy out for the ghosts.
Show up as you are. Press play. Let all of you be here.
