Major Arcana Challenge: Countdown to Halloween

Grab your mat, your journal, and the fun-size candy. We’re counting down to Halloween with 22 days of tarot-inspired yoga. 🔮👻

Beginning October 10, we’re moving through the entire Major Arcana series in The Underbelly app. That’s one yoga class a day, every day, through Halloween.

Twenty-two cards. Twenty-two classes. Twenty-two opportunities to move, reflect, play, and see what the universe drags out of the haunted attic.

How the Challenge Works

Beginning October 10:

  • Open The Underbelly app and find the Major Arcana Challenge.

  • Take the featured yoga class for that day.

  • Spend a few minutes writing with the accompanying journal prompts.

  • Mark the class on your challenge calendar.

  • Share your practice, your reflections, or your favorite spooky-season setup with us.

  • Do any of these steps or some of them or make up your own.

Miss a day? Jump back in, circle back, catch up. You are in charge!

This is an invitation to practice, not another opportunity to judge yourself.

What Is the Major Arcana?

The Major Arcana is a collection of 22 tarot cards representing the archetypes, lessons, transitions, and big questions we encounter throughout our lives.

It begins with The Fool stepping into the unknown and moves through love, power, change, surrender, intuition, death, rebirth, and everything else that makes being a person so profoundly weird. The journey ends with The World: completion, wholeness, and the beginning of another cycle.

Together, the cards tell a story about becoming.

You do not need to know anything about tarot to join us. You don’t need a deck, a crystal ball, or the ability to predict whether your situationship is ever going to text you back.

Just bring yourself.

Tarot, but Make It Yoga

Each class in our Major Arcana series explores the energy and philosophy of one tarot card through yoga, breath, meditation, and movement.

We’ll practice the postures. We’ll notice what comes up. We’ll use the corresponding journal prompts to take the exploration off the mat and into our lives.

Some classes may feel familiar and grounding. Others may invite you to try something new, look at yourself differently, or meet an edge you didn’t know was there.

That’s part of the fun.

Tarot is not only about telling the future. It can give us a language for exploring the lives we’re already living. The cards can help us recognize patterns, ask better questions, and get curious about where we are in our own unfolding.

The yoga practice brings those ideas into the body.

The journal prompts help us tell the truth about what we find there.

Make It a Whole Spooky Ritual

Light a candle. Turn down the lights. Put on your favorite Halloween socks. Practice beside a plastic skeleton named Barbara. Pour something warm into a cauldron-shaped mug.

Yes, the work can be meaningful. It can also be playful.

Let this challenge become a daily ritual: a little time to move your body, listen to yourself, and explore what each card brings forward.

Share your journey with us as you go. Tell us which cards challenge you, which classes surprise you, and which archetypes feel like they’ve been following you around your entire life.

We want the revelations and the costumes.

Start Your Practice

You don’t need to wait until you feel ready. The Fool certainly didn’t.

Step onto the mat. Begin where you are. Let each class reveal the next piece of the story.

From October 10 through Halloween, we’ll move through the Major Arcana together. Practicing the postures, writing with the journal prompts, and making room for whatever emerges.

The cards are ready.

The candy bowl is full.

The wheel of time unfolds.

Let’s begin.
